Username ideas people actually remember

A good handle is short, sayable, and a little you. Here's how to get there without overthinking it.

The two-word trick

Most memorable usernames are two simple words stuck together. Think "silentfox" or "mintywave". It's easy to type and easy to recall. Our nickname generator leans on exactly this.

Add one number, not five

If your name is taken, one number is enough. "nova7" reads fine. "xX_nova_2009_Xx" does not. Keep it clean.

Say it out loud

If you can't say it in a sentence, you'll hate it in a week. Test it: "add me, I'm [your name]." If that feels weird, change it.

Make it fancy, then chill

You can style a username with fancy Unicode — bubbles, bold, small caps. Fun for bios. Just remember some apps strip the styling, so keep a plain version too.

Own it across sites

Using the same handle everywhere makes you easier to find. Before you commit, check it's free where you care about. The generator gives you a batch so you can pick the one that's still open.
